Pastor John Massey Pastor John Massey Pastor John and Sis. Joan Massey graduated from Gateway College of Evangelism in Florissant, Missouri. Redemption Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith began as a home Bible study held at their kitchen table. It was established in 1972 by Elder John Massey, Jr., who is currently the pastor and Sis. Joan Massey, the assistant pastor. They lead by example. Because of their commitment to the Word of God and their caring counsel, many have come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and countless lives have been transformed.

RCC has grown into a vibrant community ministry. In 1979, Elder John Massey, Jr. founded Redemption Christian Academy. Sis. Joan Massey has served as principal since its inception. Through their efforts, various community programs developed: RCA Nature Camp, Community Outreach, RCA Bakery, Women of Faith, Women of Strength, Pathfinders, DOV (Daughters of Virtue), SOR (Sons of Redemption), and RCC's Missions.

Elder and Sis. Massey have received numerous awards and recognition for their achievements: NYS Humanitarian Award; Albany District Links Award; Hometown Heroes; The Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award; and the American Century Award for their involvement in the community.
